Hollow Heads started to build an Altered dragster to compete with US and Aussie peoples about the Worlds Fastest Y-block title. At first they bought some drawings from Mark Williams Enterprices and then they bought some mild steel tubing and so the project started. It's planned to be on track at Finnish Ford Nationals event 10.-11.th of July 2010!

Current Record Holder is Bob Lindsay from Oregon, USA with a blazing time of 7.966 / 171.46 mph at quarter mile. Bob drove that new record 16th of August 2009 with his blown 180" wheelbase front engine dragster.

Previous Y-block record 8.157 / 162.02 mph was held by Randy Gummelt from Texas, USA and his blown 225" wheelbase rear engine dragster. Randy drove that old record back in 2005.

March 2009. Frame under construction. Thanks to Miikka Kaskinen who did the bending job for the tubes.

Ol' Joint Jigger tube notcher is absolutely great help when doing this much tube ends.

Jyrki doing some grinding.

April 2009. Lots of tubes positioned but more will come…

Who the hell will weld all those seams…?

Engine plates almost done and fitting in progress. Those turbos are for trial only. Too small…

There will sure be some issues with MSD distributor and that firewall… close call

Head cage positioned. Soon the welding will begin…

Should be safe enough?

This Powerglide with transbrake will be the transmission. And it will have a Wilcap adapter to hook it behind the Y-block.
